ABOUT THE CLINIC
Concierge Level Service Combined With Excellent Care
The primary role of a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is similar to that of a psychiatrist. Our focus centers on psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis, careful planning, monitoring of treatment progress, and meticulous medication management. While our clinic visits may include some limited therapy, we typically refer individuals seeking more intensive "talk therapy" to specialized therapists. It's important to note that Nurse Practitioners in Texas work collaboratively with supervising physicians, and here at Salado Creek Mental Health, we are fortunate to have an exceptional supervising psychiatrist as an integral part of our team.
We diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to
- Eating Disorders

Numerous treatment options are available to assist you in addressing your unique challenges. These modalities encompass cognitive, behavioral, and motivational approaches, as well as medication therapy. Our commitment is to collaborate closely with you to create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your specific and unique goals.
The initial visit is often lengthier, allowing Kim to gain a comprehensive understanding of your needs, treatment goals, and your detailed medical history, both past and present. In certain complex cases, a second extended visit may be requested to ensure thorough assessment and planning. While Kim Giberga generally prefers in-person consultations, we do offer the option of telepsychiatry visits when necessary.
Upon scheduling your initial appointment, we will promptly email you the necessary paperwork to complete. You will receive a secure link to access all the required forms and review our practice policies. If you prefer or require assistance with completing the paperwork in person, we are more than willing to accommodate your needs. We can arrange a visit to our office at least 2 days before your appointment to facilitate this process. This step is crucial for us to commence our therapeutic relationship on the right footing and make our initial meeting as productive as possible. If there are additional accommodations we can provide to ease this process for you, please don't hesitate to inform us. It’s very difficult to start a patient on a medication without knowing which medications are currently being taken and which medications have been taken in the past.
Should we not receive your completed paperwork 48 hours before your appointment, we will reach out to reschedule. If your current symptoms or mood are preventing you from independently completing the paperwork, please communicate your needs to us. We can arrange for you to visit our office and receive assistance in filling out the forms. Alternatively, if it becomes evident that you require a higher level of care than we can offer, we are more than willing to assist you in finding an appropriate resource
To start your journey with us, simply call us at 210-405-3008 to schedule a new patient appointment. We are here to support you on your path to improved mental health and well-being.
