We're excited to collaborate with psychiatrists and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners to provide Spravato treatment for their patients. When you refer a patient to us for Spravato, we handle everything from prior authorization and scheduling to coordinating and administering the treatment. Your patient will receive care within a REMS certified Spravato treatment center, and we'll maintain active communication with you throughout the process.

It's essential to emphasize that we won't take over your patient's care; our role is solely to deliver the requested treatment. The primary psychiatrist will always retain responsibility for managing the antidepressant used alongside Spravato and any other medications the patient may be taking. This collaborative approach ensures that your patient receives comprehensive care while respecting the continuity of your therapeutic relationship with them.

When considering Spravato treatment, we focus on patients diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), either recurrent or single episode, severe, who have not responded to at least two or more adequate trials of antidepressants, indicating treatment resistant depressive disorder.

Our treatment protocol typically spans over 8 weeks, starting with two treatments per week for the first 4 weeks, followed by once-weekly treatments for the next 4 weeks. After the initial 8 weeks, we tailor the treatment plan to suit the individual's progress and needs.

However, there are certain contraindications to be aware of, including aneurysmal vascular disease, a history of intracerebral hemorrhage, hypersensitivity to esketamine, ketamine, or related substances, uncontrolled hypertension, and concurrent opioid use.

Each treatment session lasts approximately 2 hours, after which the patient a ride home, either from a friend, family member, or ride share service.

To begin treatment, each patient requires prior authorization, which we handle promptly. Typically, this process takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the patient's insurance plan. Once approval is secured, treatment commences as soon as possible. Most patients will have a copay of $10 per Spravato treatment, in addition to their office copay.
