MEET THE TEAM
Kim Giberga
MSN APRN FNP-C PMHNP-BC
Hello! I'm excited to introduce myself. I hold the professional titles of Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). This unique dual credentialing represents my comprehensive training in both general medicine and psychiatric care, encompassing patients from birth onwards. This background gives me an expertise in identifying and differentiating medical causes of psychiatric symptoms and syndromes, as well as a deep understanding of psychopharmacology, medication interactions, the psychological stress of medical problems in addition to psychiatric care. With 16 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner and a total of 18 years in the healthcare field, I am truly passionate about working with individuals to improve their well-being. I am deeply honored to be recognized as America's Top NP 2025.
For those interested in learning more about my background, please read more here.
I hold two Master's degrees from University of Florida and the University of Miami, in addition to a Post-Master's Certificate from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I am committed to staying current with the latest, evidence-based information for the benefit of my patients. I am known to dig deep into research, even in the late hours of the night, if it means finding solutions to help my patients. I am a member of multiple local, state and national organizations to keep me up to date in the newest research.
My dedication to the field has been recognized through various awards, including the distinction of being a Coca-Cola scholar (for overall scholastic excellence) and a Ludwig scholar (awarded for my research focusing on differences in medication metabolism between the sexes). Recently, I was honored with a Texas Healthcare Hero award. My consistently high patient satisfaction scores serve as a source of immense pride, as they affirm my dedication to delivering excellent care.
My background in the Emergency Department has equipped me with the ability to respond effectively to emergent situations. Moreover, it has fostered a special affinity for working with healthcare workers, first responders, and individuals facing high-stress scenarios—an increasingly relevant experience in today's world.
I am genuinely passionate about helping my patients achieve their mental health goals. My practice is founded on open-mindedness and a commitment to working with patients from diverse orientations, cultural backgrounds, and lifestyles.
On a personal note, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have a loving and supportive family. I have been happily married to my husband, Ovidio, a first generation Cuban-American, for 25 years, who is an artist and a professor of art at UTSA. San Antonio has been our home for 18 years. Our household is a vibrant one, brimming with the energy of two wonderful teenagers who continually inspire and challenge us. We are also proud parents to two rescue dogs and a rescue cat, all of whom infuse our home with warmth, love, and a healthy dose of chaos. In my leisure time, I enjoy reading, winemaking, gardening, painting, snorkeling, and enjoying the beach. I personally hold faith in God, but I respect and honor everyone’s unique beliefs.
I genuinely appreciate your time and interest in our practice. It is my sincere hope that I can be of assistance to you on your journey towards improved mental health and well-being.
Laurie Lambert
MSN APRN PMHNP-BC
Hello! My name is Laurie Lambert. I’m thrilled to join the Salado Creek team as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
Psychiatry is a core component of my 15 year nursing career. I’ve had the privilege of providing compassionate, evidence- based care to patients across the lifespan including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations within the acute inpatient psychiatric setting.
My nursing career began in 2010 after I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, at South University, Florida. My clinical journey as a Registered Nurse has taken me through the most challenging and rewarding corridors of healthcare. My background includes leadership in multidisciplinary teams, providing care to individuals with terminal illnesses and serving as a nurse liasion between patients, their families and insurance companies.
However, nothing has been more fulfilling for me than caring for individuals striving to achieve and maintain mental wellness. I have eight years of clinical experience in the inpatient psychiatric setting. I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), with specific focus in psychiatry, at Walden University, Minnesota.
As a Haitian American, I’m committed to integrating my advanced psychiatric training, and clinical expertise to address the cultural, racial, and immigrant experiences in mental health treatment. My compass points toward breaking cultural stigmas surrounding mental illness while fostering a culture of resilience and healing.
I am someone who finds joy and balance in an active and mindful lifestyle. I find inspiration being outdoors. You can find me burying my feet in the sand, or cycling through the neighborhood right before sunset. I love diving into a good book, as reading fuels my curiosity and provides a peaceful escape. Staying active is also a priority for me, whether through dancing or strength training.
Kedrick St. Floyd
MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Hi, I’m Kedrick — a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a heart for helping others heal, grow, and reclaim their peace. I bring over 12 years of mental health experience, working in a wide range of settings from private practices, local, state and federal facilities. Before stepping into mental health care, I proudly served 12 years in the U.S. Army — an experience that shaped my commitment to service, resilience, and integrity.
I’m trained to treat a variety of mental health concerns, and I genuinely enjoy working with people from all walks of life. But one of my deepest passions lies in supporting those navigating substance use challenges — helping them find their strength, build healthier habits, and rediscover their sense of self.
I believe that real healing starts with a real connection. That’s why I focus on building honest, respectful, and supportive relationships with every client I meet. My goal is to walk alongside you with care, clarity, and a deep understanding of what you’re going through — without judgment.
When I’m not working, I’m enjoying life with my family — they’re my world. I love traveling, working on home projects, watching movies, diving into a good book, and soaking in all kinds of sports and music.
If you’re looking for someone who will truly listen, support you through the hard stuff, and help you move forward at your own pace — I’d be honored to work with you.
Shaylene Vance
MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Hello! I’m Shaylene, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner passionate about helping individuals achieve lasting mental well-being.
I partner with each person—and their families when appropriate—to develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication management, psychoeducation, and psychotherapy. Every plan is thoughtfully tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs and goals.
My healthcare journey began over 20 years ago as a United States Air Force Medic, providing care to soldiers, veterans, and their families in collaborative, team-oriented settings. Witnessing the critical role mental health plays in overall wellness inspired me to advance my education and specialize in psychiatry.
I earned my undergraduate degree with honors from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA, and my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. I am certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
My professional background includes experience in inpatient neurology, behavioral health, and care coordination in outpatient psychiatry. I provide compassionate care for adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, insomnia, and more.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, playing games, and exploring scenic outdoor settings. My mission is to empower every patient with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to thrive.
